With the laying off of workers due to the pandemic since March 2020, there has been a surge in the job market in the UK. According to an early 2021 Q1 job market study, 1.72 million people were unemployed in the United Kingdom at the end of December 2020, a 1.2 percent increase from September 2019. Statistics show that 85,000 businesses have been formed online since March 2020, and 75% of shoppers and sellers favour online businesses.
